Ipswich Connects: Affordable Energy. Thursday Feb. 26

With the cost of electricity on the rise, it’s more critical than ever to learn about what can be done to lower your bill. On Thursday, February 26, the public is invited to attend “Ipswich Connects: Affordable Energy,” where a panel will look at the history of energy creation in town over the centuries, present how the Ipswich Electric Light Department is working to keep costs down, discuss innovations that are creating cleaner power alternatives to fossil fuel, and provide ways that homeowners can make their homes more energy efficient.

Sponsored by the Ipswich Democratic Town Committee and co-sponsored by the Ipswich Education Foundation, Town Green, and Harborlight Homes, the free event will also include information tables by local and regional organizations focused on energy-saving tips and ways to advocate for policy changes.

The forum will be held at Ascension Church, 31 County Street.  Doors open at 6:45 p.m., and the program begins at 7 p.m. Refreshments will be available.
