Walking tours of Ipswich are led by town Historian Gordon Harris, who shares the stories of our historic houses and the people who lived in them. The first part of the tour focuses on the fascinating history of the Meeting House Green area, accompanied by early photos. The walk takes us past many of the town’s most historic houses in the East End Historic District, approximately 1 mile. The walk is moderately paced, stopping for stories and brief discussions. Registration is not required, but you can email Gordon at historicipswich@gmail.com so he will know to expect you.
