In the 1980s, the Hall-Haskell House at 36 South Main Street in Ipswich, MA was saved from demolition by a small group that organized to save the “Little Red House.” The right side of the 1820 building hosts the Ipswich Visitor Center with friendly volunteers providing abundant information, maps, and brochures.
The left side of the Hall-Haskell House features a gallery showcasing various local & regional artists, with a new display changing weekly from June through October. To reserve a week (Tuesday – Sunday) at the Hall Haskell House Gallery, call Stephanie Gaskins (978) 356-4809, and leave a message. You are responsible for hanging and taking down your art, and you must have someone in the gallery.
