Mary P. Conley award

Every year since 1992, the IHC presents the Mary P. Conley Preservation Award, named in honor of Mary for her endless dedication to preserving historical sites. The award may be given to the owners of an Ipswich property which is deemed noteworthy for a recent restoration or general improvement.

The goal of this award is to continue to honor and to always remember Conley’s strong commitment to the community, and to recognize Ipswich individuals that voluntarily preserve, restore or maintain a home or property in an outstanding or architecturally correct period or style or who are instrumental in aiding that effort. A letter of application may be sent to the Historical Commission at the Ipswich Town Hall or contact any current member of the Commission. The presentation of a bronze plaque is awarded at a Board of Selectmen’s meeting.
