Like most of the houses on Manning Street, this house first appears in the 1893 Birdseye map of Ipswich. In 1907, Haskell sold the house to Phillip Heintz of Boston (1902:498) and held the mortgage. In the 1910 Ipswich map, the owner is still shown as George Haskell
A connection has not yet been determined with lawyer George Haskell, who constructed the large white house on Argilla Road at the base of Heartbreak Hill in 1855-56. A gentleman farmer, he invested his time in a quest for the ultimate wine grape. 66 Argilla Road, the George Haskell house (1855).
